Long forgotten by the fickle world of pop, 5ive are to return to the limelight with a new one off show '5,4,3,2,1'.

Apparently all members had wanted to launch solo careers, but it was widely felt that the nation couldn't cope with 5 separate acts all in the style of 5ive. It was decided that only one of the former boy band members would get a recording contract, and this would be decided by a series of challenges. What separates this show from others is that the challenges won't be musically based, that would be ridiculous, no, the sad lads will have to put their lives on the line, as only one can come out alive, with the chance of solo success.

The show will begin with a game of musical chairs. The 5 5ive boys will have to dance to their records until the music stops, then fight for a place on one of the four chairs. The 4 chairs will then rise to the top of the arena, and 5 hungry wolves will be released into the arena to feed to the remaining 5ive star.

At htis point it is felt that the remaining 4 will realise the severity of the situation that they're in, and cry like little babies. This will be captured on film, and used in the winner's video for his first single.

The next stage of the show will see the boys thrown into a room containing 4 portaloo's. Snakes will begin to fall from the ceiling, so the boys will have to take cover in a portaloo. There's only room for one in each one, and oneof the portaloo's is booby-trapped, and will explode within a minute of the door being closed. Each portaloo will have a hidden camera inside so we can watch the reactions of the boys when they hear the explosion.

The next stage will see the boys strapped to chairs above a pool, with a pedal by either foot. Pressing the pedals leads to the chairs of their rivals sinking down, getting slowly closer to the water. Eventually one of them will be completely under the water, doomed by the pedal pushes of their former friends.

The final two will be dragged out of the pool, soaking wet, and thrown into a maze. In the centre of the maze is a gun, it's a race to find the gun, then find the other 5ive member.

It is hoped that the harrowing experience of winning the show will make the winner able to put a little passion into his songs, and sing more than "Oooh, I love you baby" or "Wiggy wiggy, I'm getting jiggy."

If I win the lottery, I will give you a million pounds to make this happen.

They need something to do.
