We all know what tragedy happened on Sept 11th 2001. Although we still do not have all the evidence on what happened we do know one thing, the gaming industry along with the world will be changed forver.
Many rumours have been sparked about games being altered due to the terrorist attacks. Many people say Grand Theft Auto III was edited heavily after the events. Many people think that flying missions were taken out, due to people wanting to recreate the events, which could upset many people. Darkes is a name that has been brought up alot, along with the story that he was a character who gave you these flying missions and one of them even included flying a plane into a tower. Metal Gear Solid 2 is another game which was supposedly altered at a very late stage. Apparantly a whole level revolved around Snake in a tower, trying to stop a bomb from detonating.
Not just the gaming industry was effected. Word on the net is that Spiderman the movies involved a scene in which the webbed hero spun a web around the World Trade Center and stopped a helicopter from crashing into it. If this is true, then there is no disputing that that is an uncanny coincedance.
How will the gaming industry be effected in the future. WIll all aeroplanes be taken out of games incase it upsets a few people? Will games have to stop involving tall towers for the same reason? While we do not know if these rumours about the games are true, it is something to think about, but I can not stop thinking, if Sept 11th did not happen, would we be talking about the things I mentioned ealier in out games?

i agree with FFF but i also agree that Grand Theft Auto III should not have been heavily edited due to it.
that is also why they made the controls of the dodo so hard so you wouldn't bother to use it and just carry on with the cars instead
