Is the XBox a flop or not. Everybody had been waiting for this next gen console to come out.When it was released people were flooding to get one in the shops but then about a month later I went into a games shop and there were loads of consoles still avaible. Then when I wondered is XBox was a flop.
I'm not sure everybody thinks that but I've heard that the machines scatches the disk and the games aren't as good as they are made out to be. The only games that I think are good is Obi-Wan, Halo and Gta3 that actually push Xbox's power to the limit. I know that they're are rivals like the Playstation 2 and the longely awaited Gamecube but I don't think the Xbox will survive even as long as the Dreamcast did.
My verdict is that I think it is a flop and I'm sure people think differently about it but wouldn't you think a 733MHz proceesor would do a better jobs of entertaining. I think the Xbox games woul be better on the PC like Halo for example.

Whoever told you that is full of it ... no copmany would let something like that slip out into the market. Usually thats the sort of thing people say to try ANYTHING to make them feel their console is the best.

You got to remember that the Xbox is the only console made in Europe. All other consoles are made in America or Japan. But Microsoft wanted to make sure Europe would never have Xbox shortages, so they set up the plant in Hungary. They make 15,000 consoles a day and can supply any shop in Europe with a fresh supply of Xboxes in 3 days. This is why there arent any shortages, they can meet demand.

in japan it has been a big flop....but then they never did expect to do well there....it hasn't really done that well in europe either (which would explain why there might be a price drop). i feel that the launch titles have lived up to expectations except for a few such as mad dash racing, bloodwake (i know that some of you like it)...

I think the X-box is a big hit already, and this can apparently already be shown by comparing sales figures against the GameCube's in the US.
I know one thing for sure though, this is THE console that is likely to grab the attention of ANY PC gamer. Mainly because of it's power and high-specs, but also as it's a Microsoft machine, with many many PC-like games and ports.
And it really is too early to call a console a flop! It's only been out for just over a month!! Give it some time, and we'll see where it comes alongside the other 2.
I personally think it's a good console, and I hope to get one sometime after a price drop. Also, like then PC, it seems that it has very many FPS games too - so again it's going to attract the FPS fans to it.
