I saw Ring last night, you know, that Japanese horror film that's supposed to be the best horror film in years. Well, I've got news for you Mark Kermode, it sucks. Yes, an avant garde arty-farty Japanese flick that I bought is rubbish. It's about a video, and when you watch it you are cursed. Once you watch the video (which is just static and cryptic messages) you get a phone call which tells you you're going to die in one week.
Only we aren't told why this video exists, or what it means, or why they get a phone call, or who it's from. There isn't a single scary moment in it, and the ending was truly terrible and made no sense whatsoever. Oi, Mr, Happy - you've seen this right? Did you like it?

No, it just blew. There wasn't a single bit in which I was even a little scared.
Or was it too scary for the nerdy Robocop and he hides behind "ring is toss"?

Audition is good, Battle Royale is fantastic. But Ring sucks, majorly.
I saw the trailer, looks like a load of arty nonsense really. Anyone seen Audition? that looks pretty intresting if not a bit weird.

No, they cancel each other out. However, if you watch it again, you are cursed because the video in the video doesn't count a second time. This means that only the video of the video counts and therefore you are cursed. That means that you need to wath it again within one week or you die. Battle Royale, while being pretty good, is another film salivated over too much by pretentious film lovers.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad film, but it's just not as good as beardy art critics hype it up to be.
