I have just been reading the Halo reviews on this very site. Among usual comments like - 'Breathtaking' 'Astonisihing' and all the rest, I read a few very stupid comments - 'Best game ever' 'Revolutionary' bla bla bla.
Along with the 'Best Game Ever' came 'Beautiful and Huge'. Ummm. Was Zelda not beautiful, BIGGER, and actually changed the way people made adventures. But no, Zelda has no aliens or big guns, that cause violent deaths, so it is not a classic, it is a cartoon, that people don't know what to do in?!!!! I lent it to my friend, got it back a week later, and he said - 'Crap - WHat do you do???' I punched him hard, and said 'Thats the point you moron, YOU decide what to do!'
Now another review said it was 'revolutionary' - um no. Jet Force Gemini had you revisiting planets/levels to get extra stuff. Half Life introduced the cut scene story telling etc. What has Halo changed- good graphics? Yes, but the title sums it up, in its ugly Green and black box - Halo: Combat Evolved - Not 'revolutionised' but eveolved, so it is not the classic all those Xbox fans were after, as THEY say it is.
(oh, and on those hideous boxes, it says 'XBox only' Funny how Halo is due for release on the PC, isn't it............;)

First of all, well analysed. And maybe you should try and play the game before you say anymore and come up with your own synopsis.
Anyway, it sounds like one heck of a game, and is THE game that every X-box fan instantly buys with their console - like we did with the N64 and Mario 64.
And by the way, that's a different Halo game due for release on the PC, 'Combat Evolved' is the X-box game. I thought the same as you once though.
