I had a dream last night, a really nasty one, only there wasn't anyone I knew in the dream. It was much like watching a film, but being in a dream I felt like I had some degree of control, so maybe it was more like a game than a movie. And in particular, more like Resident Evil the game than Resident Evil the movie. Well, it had zombies in it, anyway.

I remember being in a dark house, thunder crashing outside, flashes of lightning. I had a gun, and there were just a few undead creatures in the house. They were hiding though, and would pop out in front of you. Some I managed to shoot, but one of the other people in the house, a kid in his teens got bitten by one of the zombie-things. Anyway, he managed to get away. I encountered him again later, only to find that he had turned into a zombie too, so I had to kill him.

Worse was to come, I found a young child, maybe four or five years old, laying on the sofa, having been bitten my a zombie. She got up, and came towards me, and I had to blow her head off with my gun.

That was bloody horrible, I can tell you.

The alarm clock woke me shortly after this, and I can honestly say that I was more than a little shaken by it. I switched off the alarm clock, but unfortunatley drifted back off to sleep.

I woke again after seven, and happened to leave the house some 25 minutes later than I normally would. It's usually tough to pull out onto the A10 from Grunty Fen, so I decided to go via the A142, and join from the roundabout, which added just a short distance to the journey. Only they're putting in a new roundabout between Witchford and Ely, and I got stuck there for 20 minutes waiting at traffic lights, and articulated lorries kept pulling out and slowing the flow of traffic.

Eventually I get onto the A10, knowing I don't have a chance of getting to work on time. I also suspect that the Milton roundabout on the outskirts of CAmbridge would be queued right back by now, so I head off into Waterbeach, it's a nicer road to travel on, better scenary. It seems that there's a train going through Waterbeach though, and again, I sit in a queue, but not for too long.

Further down he road I see another sign for roadworks, where the A14 slip road is, near Fen Ditton. So further waiting.

Once through these the rest of the trip is as usual, the roads aren't that busy until I hit Long Road, but by now I'm no longer worried by how long it takes.

I eventually get into the office at 8:45. Awhole hour later than I usually get there.

Bad dreams and worse decisions made me late for work, damn them.

Damn the Cambridge rush hour. Lets just hope you don't get delayed on the way home tonight.

Wouldn't want to miss any of the footy.

Yeah, I'm glad I don't actually live at Grunty Fen, that would be rank.

There's a bloke that comes on local radio, known as 'Dennis from Grunty Fen', and he sings songs about 'Fen Tigers' with webs between their feet. I consider him to be an embarrassment to the area. :-)

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
