There are thousands of games on offer now days, so there’s no excuse for saying "I don't know which game to choose". There are all sorts of things games can contain to attract gamers to them, some games like to rest on their game play where as others try to seduce gamers. The Tomb Raider series contains the character Lara Croft, now she may be used by SCEE to attract older men to purchase this game. Now we can't deny that men could get attracted to Lara so it would be a clever idea to put her into a computer game to sell thousands of more copies. Now I’m not denying that the Tomb Raider series contains great games. The game play is very good and the graphics were and are good for their time. So this may have been enough to sell thousands of copies but maybe SCEE were unsure and needed a little extra.

Many other games use certain characters to sell copies. Many of the Nintendo games keep returning to the help of either Mario or Luigi. These characters have appeared in numerous copies and have always made the game successful. Their recent appearances have been in Super Smash Bros. and they are set to make appearances in the new Game Cube games, Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Some people are also attracted to games depending on the producer of the game. If Hideo Kojima or Shigeru Miyamoto produced the game then it is certain to sell copies. But this is only because they have both earned a reputation to make good games. Unfortunately this reputation can lead gamers into purchasing the wrong game. I personally bought Metal Gear Solid 2 because of the creator and because of the great reviews the game had been given. I was really disappointed to see that I managed to complete the game in two days, then I looked at the other perspective. The sheer brilliance of the game was amazing, this was all down to the creator Hideo Kojima. There was also the fact that Solid Snake was in the game, it was a big disappointment to find out that you hardly play as him. But then I saw the other side of things again, this was a great opportunity to introduce a new character i.e. Raiden.

Well as I come to the end of my post, I would like to say that there are many different ways to attract gamers to but your product but only if done right will the product be successful. A good reputation will also help.

Thanks,
Ben.

Theres good potential in this post but you need to firstly make it longer, if you ever make a topic to try and win a GAD its normally long topics that win, also try and make it more descriptive i.e. try and describe certain sections in a game and why that would add to game attraction. Some quotes or well known lines in games would be a bonus, but its a good start. try to write your own experience to why the game attracted to you in the first place, the broaden it from there.

goodluck.

Maybe you could make it a bit longer and go more in depth in the subject and do a bit of research before hope the info helps.
