Just interested in what sort of music if any people listen to when they play games or are just surfing around. does it depend on wot mood you are in or not ?
personally i dont listen to music when i play, i find it puts me off too much but if i did it would prolly be marilyn manson or something similar.
this has potential to be a good discussion, lets make it one.

If I'm just poking around the net or playing a game of CS randomly with strangers, I'll usually have some sort of guitar on - malmsteen, satch, vai, johnson..Cliffs of Dover on at the moment, bloody impressive.
If it's a serious match (as much as oV are ever serious), or something where I need voice comms or have to hear any movements, then I'll play with headphones or surround, really helps in FPS games.
Must go pick up guitar actually...general favourites playlist too, just depends what I'm in the mood for.

Well if I'm playing a game eg MOH:AA then I really don't want to be distracted by background music and the ingame music makes and adds to the game.
When playing online, again I don't like to be distracted, as happened last night I kept getting ICQ messages whilst in the middle of a game and when your trying to listen out for people shooting it does get distracting.
Now general surfing is different because your not really having to pay attention so I generally listen to whatever mp3s I've got in my collection or just stick a CD on depending on what I want to listen to.
If your doing research on the web then that all changes again because you really need to concentrate so I think it all depends on what your really doing.
I wont bother going on about what music I like to listen to because it's so varied and I usually have more than one group/artist lined up to play.
