No I think that Bleem and their like just add to the piracy issues that have been going around for ages! If you try and go to the bleem site then you will see that it has been shut down and yes you guessed it, it was shut down by the almighty powerfull Sony!
I really can't blame them either, they are a business who are setup to make money, to deliver profits to their shareholders and any attempt by other people to intervene in their business deserves to be slapped.
Put yourself in their (SONY) shoes and I'm sure you will come up with exactly the same argument for closing Bleem down.
You've developed a product, you want to make money, someone is ripping you off, you close them down and therefore maximise more of your profits, sorry but that's just the way this materialistic world that we live in operates.......you either love it or you hate it!

Its a hard one that. I don't see business taken away from SCEE due to emulation. My basis for this is that even emulated PS1 games look dire on PC. We are talking big differences in performance etc. So to pay 40 squids for a PS2 game just to play it on a PC is outrageous, but, perhaps some people do. I do on the other hand use amiga and spectrum emulators to good effect. To play the old "classic" games makes me feel like a kid again. If you feel that you need to stay on the right side of the law, then there is an abundance of freeware/abandonware available. At the end of the day its damn good fun, and you tend to forget just how much things have moved on.
I have a nes emulator that i used to use quite abit, it is a good idea. But i don't really think it's rite to have a on the market at the mo consal emulator because it prob takes money from sony and nintendo as does pirating but the only way this could be stoped would be to censor the internet.
