I've been racking my monkey_brain and I can't think of a way to do this that is cross-browser proof - How does someone type an email address into a box on my site and it'll send a link of my choice to that address?

Do what ... the trim($Email) bit???

You don't actually have to do it for the E-mail, as it apparently will work regardless :o)

What trim() does though is cut of any spaces at the beginin and end of a word.

Why do you need to do this. I 'm just wondering.

How very cleaver :o).

Well, probably better if you intend to print the E-mail Address back to the browser then, making the formating neater :o).

Cunning, but the E-mail will still be sent regardless :)

Fait enough Rob, just checking it wasn't something that was a 'to-do' in PHP that I'd missed, lol.

But how about changeing it to:

$recip = trim($email);

So if the user enters a space at the begining or the end for some reason, the person will still get the E-mail :o)

I'll give you the URL for something I'm making when it's done. I've got one more little bit to sort out - then I've got to make it work in Netscape, which is an a**e, but I can do it.

Cheers, but I already got exactly that from the 'mail' bit in Freeola's manwell. It's coming along nicely, this PHP lark. Cheers again.

Why there $recip = $email; bit???
Why not just stick the $email right in there??

mail($email, $subject, $body, "From: $from");

Send the form to a PHP page, call the imput box "email":

$recip = $email;
$subject = "Monkey_man's dodgy porn links";
$body = "Here's a dodgy porn link for you:

And I never forget to \"escape\" my quotes!";
$from = "Monkey Man ";

mail($recip, $subject, $body, "From: $from");

?>

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
