7. has a good number of highly anticipated games in develpment
8. will have internet, eventually
9. and a good price especially in the uk compared to usa's $300
10. has a great range of platinum games i.e. games like onimusha, doa2 for just £19.99
11. cool smart looking, not too big not too small.
12. can be placed vertically to save space
13. backward compatability to play playstation 1 games
14. backward compatability to be able to use playstation hardware
15. selling better in japan then gameboy colour and dreamcast.

Exactly the same points which made me choose PS2 for a next-gen console, and its something I haven't regretted.

Shame there aren't many others (well Tekken Tag is good and Jak and Daxter ) GTA 3 isn't exclusive either (PC).

Not that great, £199.99 for a console that's been out over a year. (well compared to US and the X-Box it's great.

It isn't that great as you probably have better PS2 games to buy than PSone titles, and if you want to play your old games why not keep your old console?

Impressive..... especially seeing as how the Dreamcast is dead and the GBA are out.
I didn't mean to sound too harsh but these are the reasons why I won't buy a PS2.

Medal of honour, silent hill 2, time splitters, onimusha, gt3, doa2, etc

Final Fantasy x, destruction derby 4, final fantasy 12, tenchu 3, onimusha 2, dues ex, gt4, contra, the getaway etc

no need to waste house space by keeping your old console, plus if you sell your old console you can use it to finance your new one.
