Dear Nintendo,
As I work for a website (www.cube-europe.com) it has recently come to my attention that there are rumours here, there and everywhere concerning Starfox Adventures, Rare, and their future.
Rumours are rife that Starfox Adventures will be going multi-format. I find this increasingly hard to believe, mainly because of the fact that the Starfox licence is one that Nintendo own. Please confirm that Starfox Adventures will be appearing on no platform other than the GameCube.
Rumour also has it that Rare have been bought out by Activision. I also find this hard to believe, as Nintendo hold a big share of Rare. Please would you clarify whether or not Activision HAS bought Rare out, and whether or not Rare will be developing on other platforms. I would be very grateful.
Thank you for your time,
Freddy Savory
I got this reply back. I hope this settles your doubts, and puts your mind at rest.
Hello,
I'm glad you asked! The status between RARE and Nintendo has not changed. Star Fox Adventures is estimated to be released this fall for the NINTENDO GameCube.
Thanks for writing. I hope you have a great day!
Sincerely,
Nintendo of America Inc.

i have read loads about this, and from what i can see, rare are looking into producing games for other formats due to wanting to make more profit, fair enough... Nintendo still own around 40%+ in Rare, and rare have no intention of brining Nintendo mascots to any other platform, but in the light of sales and the fact that other consoles are genberating more revenue than others, it makes sense for Rare to start producing for other platforms, especially the PS2 with its 20 million+ user base.
There will never be a PD for the PS", nor a Banjo or Conker, but there could be the possiblility of Rare created titles on other platforms in the near future.
As tot he Activision rumor, all i've heard is this... Activision will only be involved as a publisher of Rare titles on other formats, i have yet to see anything about Rare being bought out by Activision... Apparently Microsoft put ina bid for Rare... Something I fail to beleive...
Who cares if they go multi platfrom? At the end of the day it comes down to profit and money and with the growing costs of developing games today, it makes logical business sense...

Exactly nothing has changed between Rare and Nintendo... they are still together.
Still, what has she actually said?
The status between Rare and Nintendo has not changed. That could mean anything.
And Star Fox is being released in Autumn for Gamecube... but I forgot to mention Spring for PS2 and X-Box. :0D
I'm kidding. I don't give a rats araras anyway, until I read Scribes.
