With the PS2's up and coming online gaming why not make GTA 4 an online version to add another dimension to the best game on the PS2. High speed death with other people all over the world. In it you could make your won gang and get other players to join and have all out wars in multiplayer matches around Liberty City and other new ones. Rockstar should now focus on multiplayer for GTA4 as the GTA3 single player can't get much better than it already is.

Thanks, think it's true though. If the PS2 becomes online then the net will be full and that means that loading pages will take ages.

I think that if all of the PS2's games started becoming online then it would be over run and boring. You said that you should be able to create gangs, this could also be done without the game being online. Start buy joining a gang, you should have to pass tests to get in the gang. Once you are respected then you should be able to create a gang. If the game was online then you would hopefully be able to create your gangs logo, clothing and characteristics. The only problem is if the game was only online like Final Fantasy 11. This would mean that parents would not allow their children to buy GTA4 because of the extra cost. Unless you had a special connection i.e. BT Internet Surftime or Anytime you wouldn't be allowed on for long and the price of your phone bill would be sky high! If you have a special connection then there would also be the problem of being disconnected after a certain amount of time. no it would be quiet clever to leave it out and add it to the full blown sequel in stead.
I think ROCKSTAR would be stupid if they didn't put it online.
apparantly GTA miami will have on line features, whether this will be actual gaming or just downloading new cars and stuff i aint sure
