GALLEON SINKS FURTHER INTO 2002
Gah. Toby Gard's swashbuckling, Disney-esque epic takes yet another hit in Europe, pushing the development period into the realms of the legendary
Interplay confirmed this morning that Galleon, original Tomb Raider creator Toby Gard's anticipated next generation adventure, will not release in Europe until December this year. The title was slated for a May release and was intentioned to accompany GameCube's European launch on May 3.
Galleon has now been in development for the better part of five years. Gard famously left Core Design after the release of the first Tomb Raider title to set up developer Confounding Factor with now ex-staffer Paul Douglas.
Galleon follows the adventures of Captain Rhama Sabrier as he attempts to rescue a love interest and thwart an archetypal baddie. Much press has been garnered for the game given Gard's heritage, although slips have plagued the project.
No reason has been given for the delay by Interplay today. The game - destined for Xbox, GameCube and PC – was seen running on Xbox at Cannes event X01 last year, so there's every reason to expect an E3 showing in May.

I notice there's no PS2 version. Wonder why that is? Seems a notable absense from the platform list that the game is released on...

Damn.
And sorry about the not being able to post topics in prime, that's basically my fault. There were too many newbies posting spam topics in prime, so you can only post topics as a regular or above. Sorry about that, but for every one of you, there are a thousand mongs.
While were on the topic of forthcoming games, another definent new title I want besides Pikmin is Kameo: Elements of power
Fantastic
