Some of you may have heard of a site called GameSpy which promises online gaming now. It involves a LAN tunnel to the XBox. Now what is the best way of setting it up?
I am proposing the following:
I have a USB cable modem:
I propose to use this as the source, and tunnel to an ethernet card in my PC. Connected to the ethernet card is 10m of crossover cable that will reach to my XBox. Now, will this setup allow GameSpy to work? Or am I just living in a dreamworld?
Cheers!
It scans your hard-drive and locates any online games.
It then offers you a lobby system where you can see what games are online and which are being played.
You then select a game to join and off you go.
In theory.
But having used Gamespy before on the PC, it's unreliable, cumbersome and extremely difficult to remove from your system.
I don't know how it would work on the Xbox to be honest, but I know very few people use it for PC gaming.
All Seeing Eye is better.
