Great Britain are supposed to get around 50,000 gamecubes by day one.

So they won't be sold out in early June then! :D
Don't worry- they will not seel out.
Reasons:
1) Post Xmas launch= sales not as high as, say, the PS2
2) Ninty consoles generally sell on the backs of word of mouth, and not massive hype. Sales will be steady, not booming.
3) The first batch of GCs will mostly be bought by the big Ninty fans- not so many casual gamers.

Yep, Nintendo seem to think this figure will double though...could happen, I think it's unlikely though...

An excellent example as to how rumours are started!!
I said that the French are getting a lot of the 500,000 euro machines not 500,000! That just would be greedy.

I don't know. France is being pretty greedy grabbing a huge number of the 500,000 of the Euro consoles on launch day. Don't know how many Britain's bagged. I've already placed my pre-order, so no need to worry, well for me anyway.
