They could be great, with different camera angles, great graphics, design-your-own chess piece!! The Destroyer!!! Play it across the Internet (you can probably already do that) but of course, chess can get boring. IF SO, I RECOMMEND PLAYING A GOOD OLD SHOOT 'EM UP LIKE DOOM 2!!!

On Han Solo's ship, R2 D2 and C3P0 were playing chewie at some kind of digital chess with monsters that ate each other when taken.

Ah... good old Doom 2, better than the first, but not the best...
Of course, there will be a Half-Life 2, a Deus Ex 2, more from Unreal and Quake.
Speaking of Unreal and Quake, which does everyone prefer?
I say Unreal. (Yeah, much better weapons and AI for bots. Quake 3 was just an engine in a box.)
Oh yeah, chess. Uh. I like playing chess everynow and again, my brain usually beats me (in three moves.)
I don't think chess is quite the most exciting thing to play on the internet though, but I expect you're bored, so that had plenty to do with it.
