I haven't had this feeling lately. Perhaps I did with Zelda: Majora's Mask, but not a real loving feeling. I honestly prefer fantasy to reality, heck, that's why we play video games, isn't it, to escape reality? But with games becoming more realistic, I keep finding myself getting frustrated with games, and ones which I truly love are becoming fewer and farther between.
But then I found one. A great game, one which in my opinion is better than MGS2, more immersive than GT3 and beats the living heck out of Final Fantasy 10. What game? Well, its actually Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. Strange, but true. I absolutely love it.
Yesterday, after work, I spent 7 hours playing it. Straight. No breaks, no food, total immersion, long into the night. I remember suddenly realising that it was dark, and that I was squinting to see the flashing screen. Great feeling.
So what games do YOU love. What games do you get completely immersed in. Is realism great, or sucking the creativity out of the industry? What game would you really call a total immersion video game...?

My favourite TV show... (except Futurama)
