the system would get hot and be red when it wason and when you switched it off it would turn green or somehting, thats an excellent idea, som eof my mates didn't know if their consoles were on or not sometimes, so this could be the answer, sort of like leaving the lights on in your car and locking the door to go inside your house, not clever, but then the console isn't run off a battery.

And I like the idea of interchange able covers.
How about a cover that changes colour with the heat (like those red noses did a few years ago!)

I like the purple, because it's original for a full size console, gold is a bit on the bad side, and black is boring me now as your can see every bit of dirt so it needs to be cleaned regulary, all thats left is pink and silver, I would get pink but it would claskh with the colours inmy room, and I think my mates might take the p@ss, silvers cool, but it would look out of place.
the colours important as it reflects yourself and your style of playing, if you had a red console you would be aggressive and if it was white you would be a pansy and let people with no guns get away.
Personnaly I think having changable covers would be the best idea, if you got bored of one your could buy another for £20 or so and have a new console! like some mobile phones.
But it's nice to have a choice to start off with, if we HAD to have black again it would be boring, I like Nintendo because they care about our feelings.
