Pointless, and unrealistic.
There are two things in life that seem pretty certain. Women generally fantasise about being rescued by a knight in shining armour, while men fantasise about being that knight.
Metaphorically.
So, while men get all the games that appeal to us... what's left for women?
Look. Super Mario World is a great game, no matter what Ant tells you. But will it appeal to girls?
No!
Think of all the money Nintendo could make if they made a "captured" simulator for women.
Objective of the game: "Sit in cell until man rescues you".
That's why women don't buy games, you see. Not enough of the "waiting around for others to do things for you" games that women so obviously want.
Ok, so perhaps not all women want to be rescued, and want to play the "independent woman" role. Fine! Brilliant, and for you, we have Perfect Dark.
But that's completely unrealistic too. If Perfect Dark was a truly realistic game, you'd have to push your hair out of the way of your eyes every five seconds. Aiming would be difficult, at the very least.
So, obviously, women aren't playing games because they don't put them in the roles they want to be in.
Discuss.

" The big red one "
" Oh this is too hard, I'm away to paint my nails "
A game that appeals to girls would be, 'Shopping 2002' or 'use all of your husbands money'
women aren't meant for games *prepare for comment that doesn't represent my feelings* they belong in the kitchen
My theory- Women are boring, therefore, games with realistic women are boring.
:)
Perhaps a Romance Sim would appeal to them: the main gameplay elements would be saucy gossip and speculation, and at the right time - twisted revenge.
I don't know, I'm just thinking off the top of my head.....
