We gotta do a speech on Monday morning about anything we want, so I thought I'd talk about us. Here's what I got, I was just hoping people could help me out or tell me what they think.

------
Before getting on with the main topic of conversation, I want to inform you of the sheer terror that has been created by doing this. It’s not your fault your nervous. You’ve got every right to be. There’s always the tell, tell, signs of being nervous. You might, start scratching yourself. Perhaps, laughing in places. Looking at the time, fidgeting and anything else you know of, that will take this discomfort from you and either destroy it, or place it on someone else. And that nicely bring me onto my topic - the downfall of humanity.

Today, everything seems to be based on reputation, image, and what others think. It seems, there really isn’t enough room to have an opinion, among all of this mess. At moment like this, you have reasons to be nervous about things. It’s within your human nature to do so. And it’s all because of other people and their opinions on things. You begin to realise, just how people are going to react to a situation and because of this you learn to know when and when not to do something. You begin to understand more, and the more and more that you understand the more and more that you don’t want to know. Whilst your younger, you’re being educated, being told the way that you should live your life, but it comes to a point, where you just wish you didn’t know, anymore.

There have been many things that make us human. Our sheer greed is something that exists in every single on of us and no-one could possible deny this. When being called an animal, you should feel privileged, as animals don’t find it within their own nature to actually back stab their friend. They don’t (or we are yet to discover) that they are able to speak to one another, and because of this, they are therefore superior.

Everyone is worried of what others think. By doing this, what will others think? There is more courage in doing the right thing, then doing the wrong, nowadays and it’s all because of our nature. Times have moved on and perhaps we should do the same. But that’s the problem, we’re moving on too fast, and are always looking to the future, when the problems exist now. In 20 years time, no doubt cancer, AIDS and other deadly diseases will have been cured. In 20 years time, technology will have expanded faster then you could possibly imagine. But, in 20 years time, humanity will still exist, living in it’s own selfish existence.

There have been many reasons as to why we have got this far. There has been events in history, that although not yet forgotten, they might as well be. If one doesn’t look to the past, then it shall happen again in the future. Verbal is one of the greatest things you will ever use, without it, we’d not be able to communicate with one another, but with it, we are able to hurt, destroy and terrorise other peoples lives.

Do we no longer care, to the point, where we no longer care about other peoples opinions on a matter? Are we too heartless to see it from someone else’s view? I tell you this, perhaps in the hope, that my words will have an impact on the way you see things, but the distant truth is, that it’s not going to happen. Nothing I can do or say is going to change the way in which you see something, or perhaps it won’t even leave you thinking about what I’ve said. It’s probably my guess, that half of you have lost interest. You’re thinking about something far more interesting, or taking the time to remember what you’re doing after school. That’s life. But, at the end of the day, I should appreciate all of you. For you make me appreciate myself even more.

Since the end of World War 2, there has been only 6 minutes, 6 entire minutes, that a war, somewher ein this world, has not been present. War: a state of open, prolonged fighting. Something resiulting int the death of thousands if not milliions and for what cause? Why is it that this is started in the first place? Because of us. Because of me and you. We make those decisons. Everyone of us, has a certain power. We have the ability go do good. What that is, I don’t even want to go into, as it’s all down to your own opinion. But, we only get one chance. Once you no longer trust me, I’ll never regain your trust. Once I’ve hurt you, I’ll never be your friend. This is what it is, well, for most of us.

The downfall of humanity, lies in every house. It lies there, waiting to strike. Buzzing in the corner, it waits, patiently, for the press of a single button, so it can come to life. Everything begins to flash before your eye, then you are greeted with the words "Welcome to Windows". You have now entered hell, but luckily, there is an escape. A cure has been found for this, going by the name of Macintosh. I was shown the light, maybe, you might to see it, one day.

So, what's the moral of this story? Is there a happy ending? I doubt it, as this is life and not Hollywood. Just remember, the mind is the most powerful tool you'll ever own, but it can also be the most dangerous.

Sounds like a good speech to me. Should point out to you though that it's "tell-tale" and not "tell, tell" signs. Not that it matters much.

You might want to use the great quote by the almighty Bill Hicks:

[drum roll please]....

"We're a virus with shoes."

I'm not sure about Mac's being the 'answer', though. :0D
