Yep we see it time and time again, companies trying to cash in year after year with basically the same game with a few nifty little features.
today i was browsing the net and came across something on Silent Hill 2, now as many of you know it was ported to the xbox as well with a few new features, namingly the fact that you could play as maria. but to my shock being a sh2 owner) i noticed that it said restless dreams was being ported to the ps2!, its silly how far companies go just to make more money, its only got a few little features so i know i for one won't be buying this, shame on konami !

I remember when half life on the PC was released, it got loads of good reviews and sold thousands. Then as the months went by, more FPS came along. These were blatant cash ins offering nothing new and were usually pretty short.
The problem is developers being lazy and just repackaging the same game with a few new limited features. It wouldn't be so bad if they spent more time developing the game rather than rushing to make a quick profit.

i think that sequels are nearly always better than the last one as the companys always try to make what was wrong in the last game better.
Sometimes an original game is made then after it's sucsess a sequal is made that to be honest is crap! On the other hand some sequals are ggggggreat, take a look at the gt series for example the games are all based around the same thing and the sequals are just updates of the game before but somehow they don't get boring.
