If your going to make a demo, then make it good!
I spent *counts* five minutes checking out Ecco The Dolphin on a PS2 demo disk and it was complete pants. But then again so was the Dreamcast one...
Thing is though, when a new version of a game thats already been made comes out on a 'techniqually' better console you woudl expect the graphical stuff and all that to be that one bit better. But no, this was even worse!
I think I had a thing for Dolphins on the DC. I just LOVED that bit of Sonic Adventure on the Emerald Coast level where the Dolphins just fly over your head - beautiful. Infact, I think that it was the best bit in the whole game! And now I think i need sleep...
The Dreamcast had beautiful graphics I loved all the Dolphin related things! DOLPHINS RULE! wow now I sound a girl.
Ok it's a demo and it probably isn't finished but why release a demo if its not up to scratch yet. Surely it would just put many people off from playing it again.
You know what...it wasn't THAT bad. it's just I'm no Ecco fan even though I thought I was at one stage. I just thought leaping around like a Dolphin for half hour seemed fun. Man, what was wrong with me?!?
If this is exactly what the final version is like though in terms of graphics (even the controls were poo compared to the DC version) then I blow a raspberry in it's direction.
