I recently digged out my old copy of Dizzy and started playing it, and I still think that they are some of the best games ever made, so I asked some friends at school and on the Net, and most of them agreed with me that they should return, so i emailed codemasters, and basically told them what i just said and asked them if i like got 100 people to sign a petition or something they would consider a remake of them, and they said that they would pass my ideas to the designer of the game and the team, i dont know if this was bull just to shut me up or serious, but if anyone else agrees with me about dizzy, reply here, we may be lucky.

Yeah, Dizzy was great! There was a thread about it in the Retro Games and Game Ideas forum.

I have 2 of them on the PC, and I used to love playing them.
It'd be nice to see Dizzy make an appearence in this next-generation someday, especially in 3-D!!

I played Fantastic Dizzy on the NES. Its the best in the series I think, and I completed it. I played some of the other Dizzy games though and I think that they stank.

Dizzy games rule!
If they did remake them then they better not change the gameplay or make it 3D or anything. They need to keep it how it was.
I remember playing 4 different dizzy games.
Dont remember the names but heres some of the stuff that happens in them. Anyone know the names?
Theres not a lot of descrpition but heres what I remember.

1. Lilly pads in water with ghosts there. Troll blocking bridge. Castle somewhere. Managed to complete. First one I played. (Name might be Magicland Dizzy?)

2. Start off with a cliff to the left. Up the other side of the cliff theres water. To the right theres a mine shaft. In one of the mine shaft rooms its totaly black and you have to get through for an item (shoe?) and then get back again. I never got past this. Always got ate by something. Couldnt figure out how. Once I managed to get there (jumping randomly) but never got back. Couldnt complete.

3. Started off in a tree villiage. Done some stuff and then you get to go on a ship. Repair ship stuff and you get thrown on an island. Never got off the island so I dont know what happened next. Couldnt complete.

4. You start off in a tunnel. Get out of it. Then theres a castle all the way to the right which has vines in it. Theres also the evil dizzy in there which does everything you do but on the opposite layer (top or bottom). Managed to complete.

Come to think of it I played these games more than games like MGS2 and GTA3.
Someone should start an online petition and post the petition link here and in a few other places.

Now I will be looking for dizzy roms for the next week.
*wishes he hadnt sold his amiga and games*

I sent an e-mail years ago asking for Dizzy Egg remakes. But even now I still think Dizzy is great. A part from Treasure Island as I got to the very end and died in the sea after playing for hours, it made me so angry. In fact I feel...the pain...the anger...its coming back ...grrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I remember when the Codemasters used to make Dizzy.

Nowdays they've ditched imagination in favour of dull generic driving sims like Toca...

Atleast they still make Micromachines...

I've not played the games myself, but so many people have told me they were brilliant. I'm sure there was a massive online petition somewhere to get the games back!
