Not a bad track on either albums and considering there is about 30 songs between them, that isn’t bad going at all. I have to say that I was quite surprised with ‘Murder of One’ on disk 2 of ‘Across a Wire’. I downloaded this song before and didn’t think much of it, but listening to it again was a reality kick to the head. What a brilliant song.
Also, I’ve never heard the recorded version of Mr Jones before (on August and Everything After) and it sounds just as good recorded as it does live, which I’ve found it a rarity these days. This can also be said about Round Here (although it sounds brilliant, it’s not a shade on Live in Paris), Omaha, Sullivan Street and Raining in Baltimore. I would probably say the same thing about all the other songs on ‘August and Everything After’ but I haven’t heard all of them live.
I’m extremely happy with my purchases and it was definitely £23.98 well spent :D. What makes it even better is the fact that I’ve got ‘This Desert Life’ coming to me in the post as we speak, hopefully it will make an appearance through my letterbox tomorrow.
Well, I know not many of you will have these albums so you won’t be able to discuss, but I just had to tell all you people that don’t have them, that you’re missing out on some fantastic albums.
Counting Crows aren't bad. I like Perfect Blue Buildings, Long December, Omaha and Wish I was a Girl a lot! But most other songs just seriously annoy me. Mr. Jones and Amy Hit The Atmosphere are 2 of the most annoying songs I've ever heard.
