Only yesterday i was reading through an ancient gaming magazine, and i saw that in the gaming top 10, that the Sims held three places up.

I think that Maxis are making a killing from an old game, and just piling out add on after add on. I've seen Livin it up, House Party, Hot Date and Holidays been released. And all make Maxis thousand after thousand of every time of money.

I think that a game that's basically life, but allot worse, shouldn't be as popular as it is. People go on games as a form of escapism, but with the Sims its basically normal town life. But allot worse, the AI on there is terrible.

I mean what normal human being would turn on an oven without experience in cooking. And who in there right minds would pee themselves infront of guests.

I think that maxis would make even more money if they kept it true to life. I Mean, why not be able to buy drugs or smoke, and then have people die from it.

Why not be able to walk out the front door, and be pooed on by a bird. Yeah it may slam the age limit on it right up, but anyone will do anything for quality gaming.

I just feel, that for something so strange, and so revamped could make so much money. I mean there basically nor new games, there add on packs. So why are they in the gaming charts?

Although i love the sanitary lines when they go into the shower ect. Thats slighly funny. But after the first few days the jokes are at a loss. Ther is also no coniqunces when you do somthing. When someone dies people who watch don't develop a phobia about fire or whatever. And when people loose a job, who cares? Just get a new one. THe consequnces are lost entirely!

And that fact that the kids never grow up is sad, novice programmers have been forced to design there own way to solve this. If you want to see a decent exaple go to:

The directions on this are very weak in the README.

Create a directory under the User directory called 'download'.

I copied the files from a USB drive. Just follow the logic.

Substitute a valid username where I have 'user' in the below.

Copy manta_install and mantainstall.zip into 'download'.

sudo cp manta_install /home/user/download

sudo cp mantainstall.zip /home/user/download

cd /home/user/download

chmod -x manta_install

sudo ./manta_install

Follow the prompts.

With The sims online out this year and the probability of another expansion pack, it doesn't look like the sims will ever fall out of the charts. EA must be making a mint on this game.

it says Pom, not porn! And i've deleted door before, but i usually get them to light a fire, delete all the doors. Then put stuff by the fire and watch it burn them alive! I've also hear of a game where your sims are equppied with guns and you have to shoot zombies that enter the house, the more you kill the more Simileons you get, i'll put the site up when i find it!

Why don't we be able to buy guns and kill all the family members while were at it? Or have one of the sims come home in a drunken rage...

Yeah! It could be called The Sims: Blind Drunk Edition!
You build a pub and your sims can go there...

Heres something to try on the Sims, it is really depressing, try shutting your sims in a room (delete doors) and watch them starve to death, I tried this and found it hard not to free them.

There's also That's Life. The Sims Holiday isn't out here yet (although my sister bought it when we were in Australia last week). Oh, and does your nickname say Pom or Porn?
