Excellent, cheers for posting that Small Frog. I love the Reading Festival, and generally look forward to it more than Christmas! I'd probably be going even if there were no decent bands playing just out of habit, but if these rumours get confirmed it looks like there'll be some excellent groups there.

It'd be nice if people could keep this thread going, with the latest bands thought to be appearing or the confirmed list as it appears. Roll on the August Bank Holiday...

Nothing like being off yer head in a boiling hot field.

First year I went we witnessed a whirlwind in our campsite. One of the most bizarre experiences ever. Tents and hair flying everywhere! It was only about 10 metres wide but it was a proper tornado... it just ripped throught the tents!

Last time I went I had VIP pasess. It was great we had so much space in our campsite - the toilets were cleaned ever day and we had showers. Oh yeah and our own bar so we didn't have to mix with the commoners..!

Do you go for the whole weekend and camp?

I used to go for the whole weekend, nowadays we often just turn up and wander in and crash some mates camp sites! Then occasionally wander in to see some bands whenever we can make it into the arena.

This year, I'm hoping the line-up will be really good though, I fancy buying the ful weekend pass and seeing everyone I can. I don't go to gigs as often as I used to and I'm starting to miss it.

I'd love to go, but I doubt I'd be allowed.

Any idea how much it costs?

It's £85 a ticket, but you'll want to get some stuff while you're there - try a total of around £150, including food and a train ticket.

And Marilyn Manson sucks, Mr Mattyboy. His absence will be praised by all with real taste.
