As the game is in alpha development, they're is many glitches, slowly but surely they are being patched up, you may experience many glitch deaths, come across a few hackers, but it is that enjoyable, you can restart your character again after your death and carry on.
The Cheranus map is extremely large, meaning you will have some long runs, unless you go and find a truck and it shortens the journey, even running for a couple of hours, it's fun, the scenery is amazing, the towns are also, so many advantages for this game and only a few disadvantages, for example, you do need a very good computer to run the game at good FPS, I have a HP Envy laptop with an AMD A10-5750M APU & Radeon HD Graphics 2.50 GHz, also 8.00gb RAM, and mine runs okay, pretty laggy sometimes so I have all my quality settings, vsync, etc down to the lowest, disabling clouds & shadows etc, and it only just runs, but then again, most people these days have very good computers, overall, DayZ is a fantastic game, and I am very proud to say I am an owner of the game, having played 300 hours of it, I can honestly say it's probably been the most enjoyable game I have ever played.
As a personal opinion, I rate DayZ a 9/10, mainly due to the specifications needed to run the game well, and also the glitches, but overall, it is a fantastic game.
