What was Houllier thinking taking off Hammaan - He was our best player!!
That was a shocking result, especially the way we usually defend away in europe - I just cant believe it!!

I'm not saying Liverpool can't handle playing attacking football, merely suggesting that the tactics used by Houllier in the 2nd-half were naive, and a big risk which didn't pay off.

I didn't see the match, but it sounds like a complete disaster for Liverpool and their 'European Dream'.

I looked on teletet to see the score last night about 10:30, and I couldn't believe it!
I also joked that Liverpool would loose it to a friend earlier in the day, but I neveer realised it could be so true!

You are basically saying that Liverpool can't handle playing attacking football.

yay! no liverpool so we won't get beaten. Man U are lucky to get this far. They have played awful this season. so Man u with liverpoop they might just get to the final.

All you Man Utd fans are just happy that you don't have to get beaten by us again. And when will people realise that it isn't how you play, it's the result at the end of the match, and with Liverpool going in a very attack-minded formation last night(taking Hamman off for Smicer), we were open to any attack they had, hence, our formation is always to hold the back line steady, keep Hamman in centre-mid for link up with the defence, so our Midefield is defence-based, making us concede less, but also score less. Still, it did win us 5 trophies in 6 months, and yes, we DID score 127 goals in 63 games, an we still have a strong say in the title race, remember, Arsenal only finished 1 point ahad of us last year(maybe 2, I forget). Still, however much I hate you goddamn prawn sandwich eaters =P I wish you the best of luck in the Champions League.

And apparently Owen has fractured his foot...Doesnt do much good for thier championship hopes at all...
