Instant Pro Format
I'm interested in building a new site on which I would like to show letters to people and their responses (so would be scanned images).
Can instant pro do this?
I know they have a picture/photos page but don't think that page would "expand" large enough to view the letter/characters clearly.
Any ideas?

Thanks WarHunt
I have started adding them to a Facebook Page which will allow you to view them in a quite large format and even allow a "full Screen" option.

So I am after something on InstantPro similar to this:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/ Letters-Entertain-You/1575599735990472

Let me know if this is something that can be acheived here.

Thanks

If you are still looking in to doing this, then let me know and I'll look at the site and give you some pointers.

We may be able to place something manually that does the trick, although this isn't something we offer as standard.

"Laborious" = web developmentmostly !

NB. The InstantPro 'lightbox' gallery does resize the image depending on the visitors browser size.

I can only think of linking to the full size images as you want full control of things so people see what you expect them to see.

The best way would be to have correctly sized thumbnails linking to pages with correctly sized full images - but as you say there is some work involved.

You could skip the thumbnails by just using text links.
You could also just link to the image so that it opens in a new Window which would save you creating separate pages for each image.

Or perhaps you could have the letters in PDF format so people could view them in that form?

Some of this depends on what you are trying to achieve with the website. i.e. Some methods would be more Search Engine friendly than others which could be important if you are aiming to attract new visitors...

You could see if you can find another website using a method you like then investigate to see if it can be done using an InstantPro site.

Thanks Hmmm, but with quite a few letters (approx 100 so far) it would be become very laborious.

I was looking for something very similar to what is already available here but the photo needs to be bigger when you hit the "magnify" button.

The sort of size/effect i'm after where the letter and response can be read in "one go"

Any more ideas ?

You could just display your scans as large images. Use a thumbnail image linking to a page with the larger image if required.
