So I've just popped to the shops to pick up the few of the essentials (some cans of Kroney, some vodka, and a few books) too keep me going...
One of these books is 'Flashman' (by George MacDonald Fraser)... I picked it up because I was looking to try something new, and a friend of mine had recommended it to me a while back...
I was just wondering if anyone else had heard or it (maybe even read it?) before, and what they had thought of it...
Although, having already parted from my seven quid already its a little late to take reccomendations (or the lack thereof), and to be honest, from what I've been told so far, its not the sort of book I would normally look out for, and as such may well be an author who is already enourmously famous, but of whom I have lived in ignorance of for all these years...
I was just wondering if anyone else had heard of him, and what (if anything) they thought? Any help?
