Apparently, according to 'Penn State University's School of Information Technology's recent survey (Using searches made through the Excite search engine)
They have found that in 1997 1 in 6 surfers queried Excite about sex...
But that in 2001 only it was only 1 in 12 (and of those, apparently, many were for human sexuality not pornography), ...
They also found some other stuff... but I was bored by then :)

There are less searches, because people don't NEED to search any more. All the porn we'll ever need is either bookmarked, or we know the addresses of.
So why search? :0)

I guess its because the internet was still in its infancy really, with new users seeing what was out there. But these days pornography is just boring really, they are in essence all the same.
