I am curious to know what you all think a game is really worth, I have just finished reading an article on software piracy and it concluded that games are over-priced, most of the production costs go on marketing and packaging. Personally I play my games at least twice to get the most out of them before I move onto other games, the question is would I do this if I hadn't spent £30 on it? Personally I do not have a problem spending this amount on a game but if I could download it for half the price that would be even better but more importantly it would allow those that can not afford this price tag to get more games for their money thus helping to increase the gaming market and ultimately make them more money - put it this way, if you hear a song on TV or radio that you like, you go out and buy the albumn but there is presently no easy way of playing a game other than a Magazine demo but if you can download it first and try it for a few days then pay say £15 for a key, wouldn't this make us gamers more inclined to come back again after the publishers next release?

Although, how long before people crack the limited time games...

You can always download Demos?

I'm sure once the X-Box gets going, and PS2 gets its HDD that developers will allow users to download demos of upcomming titles?

That is a curious concept, and i would have to agree that games are over-priced, i can only usually buy about 3 games a year, if the prices were to come down significantly, that could go up to around 5-6 games a year, thus making the hardware more popular and the software more widespread.
