This forum rules!!!!!
So what if newbies spam a lot in here? A good forum is obviously gonna have a lot of people come to post, even newbies! I like it here, so I don't see what all the fuss is about.
And if you don't like it here, then fine! Don't come here!
That's all I have to say, I think.
P.S I'm over my "I suck" period, I don't know what got into me :S or S:, or whatever it is.
P.S.S To annoy Stryke, I'd like to advertise the fact that I'm writing a spoof right now including all the Notables but Sheepy, Wookie, Meka, and fantasymeister. Not many other characters I'm afraid.

Damn right!
Nickelodeon forever!

Well that just makes you thick :-D
But it is annoying, I must agree.

Well said.
The Trouble Channel. Do I think it's cool that it uses Text Speak? No. Half the time I don't know what their advertising because I can't read it properly. Idiots.

I think its just more noticable when notables complain... If any one else did, either Regulars or Newbies, then noone would really take that much notice, it would just be another topic that becomes shuffled to the bottom of the page without reply...
Also, I dont think the compaints are about spam in itself, everybody writes a spam post one in a while, its a chat forum after all, its just the quantity of spam posts that so many newbies do that is the problem...
With newsgroups its seen as polite, when you join a new forum, to spend a little time reading through current post that are already there, see where the people there are comming from, what sort of thing gets posted, and what they are about... Then spending a little time replying to current posts before starting threads of your own...
Its not that replying to a thread or starting one of your own is supposed ot be a big thing, and that you should be worried what the consensus is, this is a chat forum after all.
Its just so many newbies seem to jump in with ill considered discussions, which they then dont tender, (especially when they realise it hasnt won GAD), that they never seem to spend any time replying to other peoples posts, and when they do they it feels they often chage the subject of the post and turn it into another chat session.
I know it must sound as if I'm acussing newbies of wreaking the site, which I'm not, or at least I'm trying not to.
Part of the problem is that we seem to encourage bad posting here as much as we then later deride it...
I just think that the notables are asking people to think a little bofre before they post, not just rush in with the first one line, txt spk topic that comes to mind???
