This was a great interactive game which has a storyline that drags you in and leaves you begging for more. It has a Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row feel to it but it has it's own twist. It makes you love the characters and want them never to die. Joe Barbaro is Vito's best friend and not to be a spoiler but you will be screaming out his name by the end of the game. There is the three branches of mafia family which all seem to be getting along well, and then all of a sudden not so much. It is set in Empire Bay during WW2 which Vito at the begin of the game is actually fighting in. Great backdrop.

One thing I loved about the game was the realism. In Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row you often get into a car wreck every once and awhile. In Mafia though when you crash you have health decreases and the cops can be bribed when you get caught. Another great thing was the intense detail in the game with the coming of age discoveries being broad cast on to radio. Cigarettes can cause major health issues? Phones in cars isn't that dangerous? The detail in the graphics was great but also the history of that period was played out so perfectly. Also it's a lot harder to get away from cops and they will remember your license plate if they see you doing something bad and will pull you over later so make sure to get your plates changed at a repair shop or pick up a new car after a police chase. (If you are wanted then they will remember your outfit so make sure to change) Also when you are stealing a car you can choose to smash the window or pick the lock. (I became very fond of picking the locks)

I hope they look into making side missions for the next game, like in Saints Row or even being able to roam around town and collect cars after you have finished the missions is a good addition. Also being able to buy more stuff such as Cars, houses, women; would have been good additions to add to the next game.

This game is truly is one of the best games ever! IF YOU LIKE INTENSE STORYLINE AND GRAND THEFT AUTO OR SAINTS ROW AND THE MAFIA CHECK OUT THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU!!!!! I think overall on a scale from one to ten this game is an eight. It has an incredible storyline in a fantastic point in history. It has relatable characters and incredible weapons and cars. But it could have used a little more elbow grease. This game is my favorite game of all time and I really hope Mafia 3 comes out soon.
