With the talk of the last few days I propose we sit down, Sr staff and members (that's newbies, regulars and notables) at an alloted time and discuss how we can improve these forums and make them a better place for everyone.
Most people have a lot of ideas, and maybe if we all sit down and decide if they are imlpementable and for the good everyone. It seems like an overhaul is needed, and from gauging the general reaction of most people that seems to be the case. I may be deluding myself here, but I think bny talking about it properly we can solve we this.

Ooops. Wrote that before I read your over reply. I'm not saying discuss it now, but an allotted time.
Hows about the staff members become more strict with some of those who spam, and make it even clearer than it already is in the rules.
There isn't really a fullproof way of preventing spammers though is there, except banning the lot of them.

On a specially designed chatroom? If thats the case imagine the nightmare of the spammers and idiots firing pointless questions one after the other.
I think the best solution would be a survey, not just a 15 minute effort, but a proper survey that has multiple choice selection- so that fair and proper results can be tallied for the benifit of the forums.
