The story is great, you decide that it's time to leave home, much to your mother's dismay, and move into a village where only animals live. You are the only human in the village.
And that's it. From there you do what you like. You can dig up fossils all day, and sell them to the museum, or you can fish all day. You can design the inside of your house, and you get points awarded for it. You can even design your own clothes!
The game runs in real time, so if you don't play it for a while, cockroaches and stuff appear in your house. The game has a calendar that runs until 2030, if you really want to be playing it for the next 27 years.
I really, really, hope this get's a UK release.
Did I tell you that the game also features half a dozen or so different NES games for you to play should you so desire?
This is different, and cool, and really, really fluffy, but hey, I like that.

Thats the problem I had with Ultima Online (and all other MMOLRPG's I've tried), after the novelty has worn off, it does all feels remarkably empty and pointless...
Ultima Onlines redeeming feature being its emphasis on community building rather than RPG adventuring...
but still....
I think the game is pretty open to do as you please, so if you have any imagination, it shouldn't get boring quickly.
Oh, on the subject of Harvest Moon, I've heard a Gamecube version is on the way. I hope it's true, enjoying playing the SNES version very much at the moment, very similar to the first one on the Gameboy, which I played to death!
