It takes a while to learn the controls and I kept falling on my face for the first half hour or so, but after a while I got the hang of it.
I think one of the reasons I stuck with it is because there's no time limit. If you knew that you could only fall over twice otherwise the time ran out, then you'd get bored quickly.
But because you can take as long as you want and it doesn't matter if you fall down, then it seems to make it more enjoyable.
The best thing about it is the fact that there's no time limit, and the slopes are HUGE. So you can spend ages going where you want to find the best route to get the most tricks in.
It's a game you can easily spend a couple of hours playing and think that only 20 mins has gone past.
An essential purchase, in my view.
I found it even better when I used my own tracks in the game. Its a nice game to play with no real pressure. You can enjoy taking to the slopes without time limits or masses of opponents. Basically you concentrate on a career of being noticed by people. It feels rewarding when you get the chance to have sponsers. :-)
Good thing is that you don't need to be an expert on the names of moves to be good at it. I found that Tony Hawk games often had me pretty confused when it came to picking moves, etc. I mean, I know what grinding is and stuff, but when it came to the names of flips I was left pretty confused. It felt like the only ones who could really be good at the game are people who are into skateboarding.
Overall Amped should keep you pretty busy. :-)
