Apparantly, when developers ask Ninty for a licence to make games on the console, Ninty say that the games released have to be "suitable for Nintendo". Now, what he MEANS by this is that the games are original, creative and fun.
However, Shigsy then says that too many companies think this means that they have to make kiddy games! DOH!
The problem is being rectified with the GC though.

I want to see heads chopped off, guts pulled out, and eyeball being chewed as I play Super Mario Sunshine in gore mode!! OK, I take this too far, but Nintendo have finally realised they can't rely on kids as a demographic to target their console at. It's the older ones with the cash, and that's who they should make games for, along with the kids!
We could've had games like Resi Evil and co., but instead were given Kirby and Mario.
But I don't think it would've made Nintendo any 'better'. The games we've already seen have been fun and enjoyable (like Shigsy wanted), and that's the way it should always be - even if we do get critisised for liking them!
Remind me, was it Namco or Capcom who, after ninty fans had waited for years to get an N64 game from them, got Mickey Mouse Tetris?
