Right,
After hearing lots of fanboys and people running thier mouths off about each console ive had enough.
Each fan of thier favourite system says that its the best but i just want to know what exactly IS the best.
I looked at the specs of them and totally dont know what all the stuff meens when it says something.
I have a PS2 and like all 3 of the consoles but just dont know why some people say one is better than the other and rubbish like that.
So,
Can you guys help me out and tell me the specs and what they meen and also which is better of the three consoles.
Gamecube, PS2, XBox.
E.g.
PS2 - Graphics chip capable of .......
Gamecube - Graphics chip capable of.......
XBox - Graphics chip capable of......
?? is the best of these because.........
Just something like that for the specs and just do it briefly if you will please.
Thanks.
Driving games are just the same thing over and over again.
Beat em up games are the same thing over and over again.
I like a game thats different each time you play it.
(Im doing a post soon on this so maybe you could reply and say what you think, its pretty long right now but i still want to add some stuff.)
And because i dont often have the money to buy the games they must be great and last a very long time.
Thats why its hard for me to choose a game.
(still dont know what to chosse for my GAD win recently)
My mates just go "i think i'll buy this, ah well i'll just buy it" and dont bother about things like replay value because they have the money to just throw away.
Thats why im glad we have the chances to win GAD's each day here and because its so much fun talking to people and stuff.
:)
and trying things out in games.
I rarely buy driving games or beat 'em ups, I prefer the 3D adventure style games, like Banjo, Mario, Zelda and Final Fantasy. I usually find that once I've ploughed my way through a sprawling 3D game world, getting every item etc that a new one tends to come out, so I can move on to that!
Fun is tiring anyway. Something that wraps you up and carries you away... doesn't always have to be the most fun ever, but if it entraps you, tells you a brilliant story, and STILL happens to be a good amount of fun... then excellent. I'd rather play Skies of Arcadia over and over, and get annoyed that I'm attacked so often, than play "Slash and Kill 2", which is the same premise on different scenery.
Probably why I find driving games usually boring. Unless I've got something to think about, and do, other than race around circuits trying to get first, I get bored easily.
thanks,
Ive got a PS2 and definately dont have the money to buy other consoles but i just want the best games.
Some games come out for the PS2 and they are really bad and then i see a game come out for another console and it looks really good and so it makes me want to buy the other console and game.
I dont even have the money to buy the games regularly so i want games that last a long time and keep me busy.
thanks for your help.
Back to the real world though, I think that every console has one that suits them best. If you are in a position to but two, then fine, but most people aren't. If you're looking for great games at not too much a price, go for Gamecube. If you are interested in a console that has a bit of everything and you prefer arcadey style games, go for the PS2. And if you looking for a console that really pushes games to the limits and is maybe better suited to hardcore gamers, go for Xbox.
In terms of specs? Forget about them. All the consoles can produce quality graphics - its what the developers can do with them that counts. Its not how many polygons they can push per second, it really is about the quality of games.
Hope that helps :)
I know its not the specs of the machine that count but the games.
Im one of those idiots that would want a new console if there's a game that i see looks good on it.
The only reason i want a Gamecube and an XBox is because of WWF Raw and WWF Wrestlemania X8.
I cant wait for other games to come out and if they look better on a different system then id want that.
Im not sure though.
Maybe i'll buy a Gamecube sometime.
So putting that against eachother won't work. It's not just the speed of the processor, it's how well it works as a whole.
And anyway, who cares? If you prefer the games on the one system, then get that. Choices are irritating, but they have to be made.
