I have built an Instant Pro website which includes uploads of .mp3 files. I have just tried to update these by adding new .mp3 files of less than 3MB but it will not work. Please help.

Do you have the same problems with a different browser?

I'm testing in Firefox v28 on Windows and all worked fine.
What browser(s) have you tried?

Have you also tried different files just in case there's something peculiar with the failing one?

I think you have pretty well grasped the process I used. Normally, when I get to the edit/links window and browse for a file on my computer the uploading bar shows the file being downloaded. Now it stays grey and then jumps to the file being displayed. I select Insert and then it jumps to the same window, but the selected file is not there. The I test the saved page in preview and no link is attached to the image.

I think there is a problem with the edit/links and/or upload window.

NB I also went to the archive and deleted the sound files and the image buttons and tired it all from scratch, but still no joy.

Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to the forums.

I'm not sure if I've understood your query but I'll give it a go :¬)

If you have images in place linking to mp3 files, after uploading your new files you will need to change the 'link' used my your images to point to the new files.

You can do this my selecting the image and using the 'Links' option in the toolbar. Use the 'browse' option and then select the 'Previously uploaded file' tab to find and link to the new mp3 file you've uploaded.

If the file names were the same on your PC as existing mp3 files, InstantPro renames them automatically - file.mp3 > file-1.mp3 > file-2.mp3 etc.
This may be confusing you if you were expecting the updated file to start working after uploading it?

If I've missed where your problem is please post some more details.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
