The console wars are over, but having a favourite side isn't the great evil that many would like you to believe. Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft are the three major players in today's market and each has legions of devoted gamers. A few people have more than one console, that's true, but for a majority console gaming is a case of chossing your side and hoping for the best, or if not hoping the secondary market price doesn't crash.....:)
You can try and pass yourself off as unbiased but whats the point in that ? You've bought the console so why not spread your enjoyment of it to others. It's wrong posting topics like "X Box is rubbish" and "Sony PS3 sucks" beause most of us can spot a stupid topic a mile off. But theres nothing wrongwith comparing similar games and their pros and cons, Virtua Fighter 4 and Dead Or Alive 3 for instance. Want to let the world know how sales of your favourite console are doing ? Go ahead, but use some reliable figures, not those from www.Imadetheseupmyself.com .
Having a strong opinion about one side is valuable because others who also like that machine can identify with what you're saying and what you recommend games wise.
I'm not advocating a return to the days of drawing pictures of games mascots with spikes stuck through them and sending them to magazines (Remember the days of Mean Machines Sega anyone ? :) ) but a healthy rivalry isn't anything to be ashamed of !
