There should be a law, a ruling, a courtroom - a place or institution set up to help detour the complete trash from entering the gaming realm. We do not want your rubbish games!

I don't see what satisfaction 'they' get. Sloppy sales, sliding share price, and deserved disrespect. If they think their game is ready for us to buy n play it, then it should be screened, checked, so that we're all enjoying better titles.

Imagine if every game released genuinely did deserve a 9 or 10/10?

BUT

Maybe we do need poor games, after all, they make the better ones look better, and we get a division. However, I still do not accept the vast quantity of wasted silicon that we are being subjected too.

Oh and before we all say "In the last year or two, we've had some incredible games such as Gr..." I know this, just think how many hasbeen's we've had too.

Bad games are also probably a result of the economy. We could ask the question why are bad songs released? The reason is the producers think they can make at least some, if not loads, but some money out of it. I think it is the same with bad games. Just because the reviews are bad, some people will nevertheless buy the game and make it profitable for the developers. Gold-digging b*stards!

Yeah, but I doubt designers are going to say: "Hey, let's make a really bad game to make somebody else's look good!"

Bad games are made, because there are bad designers. People who don't really have any passion for gaming, and just churn out templated games because it makes money.

I agree,

But then I did state:

"Maybe we do need poor games, after all, they make the better ones look better, and we get a division. However, I still do not accept the vast quantity of wasted silicon that we are being subjected too. "

But surely, a 1:1 good to bad ratio would be more pleasing?

Without no bad games there can be no good so it must be good to be bad sometimes

(Slightly adapted rip off)

Anyways some games are a disaster, remeber Fifa 64?
