I was looking at the back of The Mirror today and there was Giggs saying that Wenger is too cocky by saying "I will easily win the Premiership".
"I do hope that Arsene keeps up his cocky ways and Arsenal lose some of their remaining fixtures, it will just serve Arsene Wenger right" says Giggs.
Giggs says "I am confident that with 50,000 thousand plus screaming fans behind us at Old Trafford will should beat the Gunners".....

I think this has been blown out of proportion,
the media are good at twisting things
however wenger has been quoted as saying "we will win the league and also at old trafford"

There was a similar thing on the back of The Sun last week.
Had Ferguson said "Of course we'll win the league", he'd have been described as "confident". But Wenger is "cocky". Funny that - predictable though.

I saw that article too, and at first I agreed with it - being that anti-Arsenal football fan that I am.
But then I realised that he has the right to be cocky, as the title is virtually theirs! :(
The only way they'll loose it now is by all the players being over-cocky, and under-performing against all teams in the league from now on.

Well, we've done a whole season with only one (league) defeat in total... so why not? :-) That defeat was to Chelsea, by the way, and is the current record.

The Papers sometime just twist thier words to make the storys more interesting.
Like for example the papers amking the story's up this week about Sheringham wanting to beat Arsenal so he could hand the title to Man Utd. Theie wernt any quotes from him that actually said this...
Also Wenger is just playing the mind games again. He can say whatever he wants...doesnt mean he actually means it. Its just to get an reaction from the opposition. Just winding everyone else up.
Usually the thing to do is say somthin like "we should not get too complacent" or somthin similar...but Wenger seems to have taken a different approach this season.
Good luck to him. The Title is more or less thiers anyway. In thier current form they can probably afford to be cocky. Although they will not go the whole season undefeated away from home in the premiership! Surely not!
