Hello.

I just signed up and am given direction to go to my folders to upload and the address asks for user and pass. I have entered them in every combined format and even tried others. It just will not let me in.

I have created web sites in the past and nothing i have seen looks this complicated. Once logged in, you can access all areas direct from there. I am confused by the whole page and instructions and doubt i will ever bother to go any further with this account.

There just seems to be too many log in details needed :(

Thank's.

As hmmm rightly states, the issue is down to the service type, and not anything else.

To clarify, you have opted for the free web hosting, and as stated on our site this is accessible via a Freeola internet connection. If you need a web space accessible via any other internet service, you will need VIP Web Hosting.

With regard to user names and passwords, these are clearly set out for you. From your account, choose "My Web Sites", then "Options and FTP Settings" to view the current settings to access the web space.

And just to confirm fully, the space you currently have can ONLY be accessed via a Freeola internet connection (that would be Freeola broadband or Freeola dial up).

Hello, and thank you.

Well that sounds vague to me. If i am inside my control panel and i am being directed to where i can do what i am unable to do due to said reason, then it would be safe to assume i am on the internet and i am logged into my account.

It states nothing more than what i do to go to my folders so as to place my files such as HTML , MySQL and so forth. From my past experience, these things are accessible from a control panel. It just states the address i am to type or paste into internet explorer and it gives me the user and pass - although it does not stipulate which is which so i tried my main user and pass (Why are they different?)
and i tried switching user with pass.

And this is before i have even got to construct anything and actually rate the service.

When you say "Type of service" i have chose. What do you mean?
All i was doing is trying to build a very simple page and see how it goes from there. But at this point, i am now looking at other web domains because i am facing a brick wall here.

Thank you for the reply.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

I'm guessing you either weren't connected via a Freeola connection for free hosting or haven't signed up for the correct package.
