This is more like a question then a subject but it could start up a good discussion. All we need 2 talk about is when did people start 2 speak normaly 4 example when did some 1 say a wall was a wall?

If you get a slow login or scrambled parts on the screen using IE 11 then this is due to a software upgrade needed to the web server.

You can confirm this by loading IE 11 and then pressing the F12 key. Down the bottom left alter the browser emulation to Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Log in as normal and the login page will come up faster and it will be correctly displayed.

It'll probably be easier to search the net for lyrics, but what the hell.

Pink Floyd - Keep Talking:

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals.

And something happened, that unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk.

There's a silence surrounding, I can't seem to think straight.

I sit in the corner, and noone can bother me.

I think I should speak now.

I can't seem to speak now.

The words won't come out right.

I feel like I'm drowning.

...Alright, perhaps it doesn't explain a lot. :0) Still, cool song, and the lyrics get better after this too, but I can't keep up.

"It doesn't have to be like this. All we have to do is make sure we keep talking."

Strangly close to something I've been thinking myself recently... :0)

Hang on, Pink Floyd know. Let's see what they say.

If I can understand the lyrics, anyway.

Experts contemplate that all languages are based on each other (mentioned earlier) and thus there must be one original, all encompassing language from probably 1.5 million years or something, I think they call it pan-African, from which all other languages come. I think I saw it on some program a while ago on Human evolution.

It's not important in the greater scheme of things but the River Avon has interesting origins..

Basically the Romans wanted to know what the river was called and so they asked the tribes that lived in those parts, who saw the Romans pointing at the river and replied "Avon", because that was the word for river. So really it's the River river.

A lot of english words are derived from other languages. For example supersonic is derived from two latin words - super meaning 'above' and sonic meaning 'sound'. Some are even taken direct from other languages, for example Bungalow from hindi, and de ja vu from the obvious french dictionary. However, how a word perhaps originated from in the first place is a very easy question. The guy who wanted to give a name for an object, thought to himself 'I will give it a really stupid name so it will sound funny in the future'. Thus we get words such as Rabbit, Toilet, Hamburger, and Gamecube today. No offence!
