Still, Saints Row has never been a series to put a lot of stock in plot, and this DLC continues the trend. It actually starts off with you roaming around a Christmassy small town, and then whisks you off to the North Pole. This is definitely a good thing since the bulk of the previous DLC took place in the same location. And there's also plenty of new enemies thrown in - you get to kick gingerbread men in the gingernuts, which is disturbingly entertaining. And unlike Enter The Dominatrix, the DLC also has proper cutscenes, advancing the DLC's exceedingly silly plot.
There's also a bunch of new vehicles, clothes and homies as well, including Cyborg Shaundi, no, reallly, and you even get to fly Santa's sleigh, or a robot reindeer. Admittedly, these are just really modified versions of Saints Row 3's VTOL and Jet Bike, but they're still fun to play with. And who wouldn't want to run around causing mayhem with Santa in tow? Though having him punch someone in the face does rather go against the grain.
In fact, Saints Save Christmas is a surprisingly good bit of DLC. Granted, you probably won't play it as much when it's not Christmas, but it's still surprisingly entertaining. Though if you are tempted to buy this and the Enter The Dominatrix pack, using the Season Pass, just don't. ETD is not even worth the two quid. Despite being about a quid more expensive than it should be, Saints Save Christmas is well worth picking up if you're a Saints Row fan.
Score - 7 out of 10
Pros:
It's a lot of fun.
You get to visit some new locations.
Cons:
You probably won't play it much outside of the holiday season.
