While watching Black Books, in the advert break, there was the GameCube ad. First time either me or my Brother had seen it.

And it was good! (mouths gape as they hear of a Nintendo advert being good!)

Yes, even my brother, a relatively anti-Nintendo person liked it. (He still plays all the classics, but always complains that 'the SNES version was better')

And it showed at least some of the games. Maybe not in game shots, but you can hardly compared, when neither the X-box or PS2 ads were anything remotely to do with gaming. At least these had shots highlighting some of the games.

I think my brothers statement at the end sums it up- "Why do Nintendo have such a cool advert?"

:D

What i saw of the advert, it thought i was pretty good, I know the wasssup thing is dated but www.gamecubexl.com has this funny animation of mario, a guy from the sims and others included. its under features on the navigation menu then right click on mario wassup movie and save target as. It took me about 10mins to download on my 56k. The BIGMAN has also seen it, i think its worth a try. :)

I reckon if they run a 'Super Monkey Ball' advert, they should have the song 'Monkey Gone To Heaven' (the Far cover version) running as music, cos it is great! Been listening to it loads!

You need the DivX Codec

The Nintendo advert is cool, but the music was so much classier in America. I'm not quite sure about that bit with that man in the cube with the people eating their soup though...
