I am trying to Upload images to the InstantPro site johnward-art.com . This has been simple in the past but it now stalls at 1% uploaded. Any suggestions?

No problem.

It might still be worth you trying a different browser on your computer, as this would be likely to solve the issue as it stands. I'd suggest Firefox, as this seems to be the most stable of them all, with the least amount of problems.

You can download Firefox for free, so probably worth a try!

Thank you for your help. I have now uploaded the 24 images (jpeg) to the website using the laptop. I am still able to change the titles etc. using the desk top. Although I have been using the internet for 16 years, at aged 77, I am having trouble keeping up with new technology now. :( so your help is much appreciated.

If you are using Internet Explorer 10, it may be worth you trying an alternative browser. IE10 seems to have some "issues" of it's own, which tends to cause some odd behaviour periodically with some programs and processes.

Try the process using Firefox for example, see if you get the same result.

Additionally, can you confirm exactly what format the pictures are in once you have edited them (jpeg, gif, png etc.)?

3.8 Mb shouldn't cause you an issue...

Thank you for your replies. I am on Windows 7 using Windows. The uploads are of standard digital SLR photos of paintings. These have been processed in Picassa to cut out the background images. I have tried uploading both the pre cropped photos and the cropped but both have the same result.
I am sure that I am using the same process that I have used in the past.

Could be browser related, however if it's stalling at 1%, I suspect that potentially the files you are trying to upload may exceed the maximum size of 10 Mb. This is easily missed with images, as certain formats tend to be on the large side by default.

It might be worth checking, just to ensure that you are in fact uploading files of an acceptable size, or resize them if this is not the case.

I am not able to re-create the issue, but if you would like to submit a little more detail about the browser (and version) you are using I can take a further look for you.

Hi - just to let you know I did reply to your other recent post over in General Chat I'm not sure if you saw that?

What browser are you using and have you changed anything at your end recently?
My successful test was using Firefox v25.

Is there anything different about the image you are trying to upload - i.e. different file size/type than normal?

In case it's something specific with your account it might be worth raising a Support Ticket in case a staffie doesn't see this.
