Well after nearly 3 years of using Freeola, I'm sad to have to say farewell to them.

Unfortunately, I am one of those few poor souls still on those 20 CN exchanges and of late, poor speed issues have become too much for me and I have had to jump ship.

I will definitely keep checking back to find out if & when these are sorted so I can come straight back to you.

Overall, you have been the best ISP I've used in the 14 years I've been using the internet but sadly I can't live with the speeds offered at the moment, I really hope it's sorted soon and I can return.

Until then... :(

The current 21CN status of Milton Keynes is 48%, Faraday is 44% and mine is 42%. However, these 'figures' don't ever tell the 'real tale'!

Since migration to 21CN my 'speeds' have been as follows (via a Freeola connection):

(as of 22.12, 31/10/13) ... 17.94Mbps and 1.00Mbps

or an average of 21.42 Mbps and 1.24 Mbps

This status report seems to suggest otherwise ...

"We are currently investigating a fault on the Faraday 21cn Interconnect." So it does actually exist then!

However, the IPSC Interconnect status also seems to indicate that some 'old systems' also exist ... Birmingham 70%, Faraday 80% and MK 84%

Stick with the 'old girl' ... she'll get you seeing stars soon enough ;¬)

looks like I may have jumped the gun :\

speeds seem back to normal over the past 12 hours or so.

Just wondered if there has been a capacity upgrade this week??

Hi Hmmm...

I'm currently on the Milton Keynes node.

Although this often runs around the 90% capacity mark, I've never had any issues with speed until just recently.

Although, now that I've made the jump, I notice my speeds are reasonable again today, I just hope I've not jumped ship too soon. :o\

I too hope you're correct about the migration plan to 21CN but I'm not holding my breath.

I just hope it's sorted soon so I can come back again, I really liked Freeola.

I'm also stuck on a forgotten exchange - the BDUK project looks like my only hope.

The run-down of 20CN and capacity issues is rather worrying.
What node were you on? (I'm on Faraday which has it's moments)

Someone's told me that the 20CN exchanges will all be migrated to 21CN within 6 months - seems unlikely to me but I hope they're right. If anyone has any information on this it would be appreciated.

Good luck :¬)

Unrivalled services
Freeola has to be one of, if not the best, ISP around as the services they offer seem unrivalled.
Very pleased
Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
